Jesus reminds us that the tomb is really not the end of our life’s influences. As an Easter people, we know that Jesus’ tomb represents his mission is accomplished. “It is finished.” Yet it is the beginning of hope for all of us.
You know your life has been a success if in the living of it you were an inspiration and in the memories a benediction. A benediction is often seen as the end of worship. It is finished, over. But the reality is it is the beginning of a new week where we take what has inspired us and use it to be an inspiration to others. Our memories are our legacy to those we love.
Thoughts to ponder:
What legacy do you hope to leave?
What inspirations have you sought to give light to in your life?
Hopefully on your journey of the Stations you have been able to take the memory of Jesus’ final hours of life and it has helped you become inspired to follow and receive the fullness of God’s grace that is contained in these final moments.
Has anything in particular surfaced in your journey today that you want to pursue or address?
Remember as Easter people, we are always people of hope, for God’s grace is unfailing and always ready to bring us into new life, even from the deepest, darkest recesses of pain.
